We use the Crisp platform to provide Live Chat support and ensure smooth resolution tracking. This service is operated by our friendly, in-house customer support team. All information you share will be processed securely and in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR.

Why do we collect your data?



We process Live Chat data under the legal basis of Legitimate Interests. Our legitimate interest is to provide efficient customer support, improve our services and ensure the SARD system works effectively for all users. The processing is necessary to respond to your queries and deliver you the support you reasonably expect when using our systems.

Who can access your messages?



Only members of our trained support team have access to your Live Chat conversations. Support transcripts are saved to help us follow up on your enquiry and provide ongoing support. We may also use these transcripts for team training and anonymised statistical analysis to keep improving our service.

Where is your data stored?



Your chat data is securely stored on Crisp IM’s EU-based cloud servers. We’ve put a robust data processing agreement in place with Crisp to ensure top-notch technical and organisational safeguards for your information.

What other information do we collect?



Alongside the contents of the messages, we may collect the following details to help resolve your queries effectively:

Name and email: Cross-referenced with your SARD login for secure identification.

SARD website pages visited: Used to troubleshoot your query.

Device type (operating system and browser): Helps us resolve technical issues and identify trends.

General location (City, Country): Assists with security and identifying technical trends.
