Articles on: Appraisal & Medical Revalidation

Who is my Responsible Officer?

The Appraisal form will ask you to state the name of your Responsible Officer (RO). The RO is a senior doctor, often a medical director, overseeing medical revalidation within your organisation.

The RO's name is to be entered on the 'Responsible Officer or Suitable Person' line in Section 3 (Personal Details) of the Appraisal form. Usually the name of the RO's name will be displayed (in brackets) in the pre-populated 'Designated body' line above.

If you are unsure who your RO is, please get in touch us via chat or email (support@sardjv.co.uk). Alternatively, please try reaching out to your organisation's administrator whose contact details are under Help & Support on your Dashboard.
