How to request leave in eLeave?

If the eLeave icon is greyed out on your Dashboard, then it means that you have not been given access to it. Please request it from your organisation's administrator as per this article.


In order to request leave in eLeave, please follow these steps:


  1. Click on the + Book Leave button on your Dashboard or under eLeave. Alternatively, click on the New Request tab or the first date of your leave in the eLeave calendar.
  2. Provide required details in the New Leave Request pop-up window, such as Allowance type (i.e., Annual Leave, Study/Professional Leave), start and end date of your leave or notifiable contacts; leave 'Take' on the Take/Accrue line.
  3. Click on the Request button.


Your Leave Approvers will be sent a notification prompting them to review the submitted leave request. As soon as your leave request is approved (or rejected, or cancelled), you will receive an automatic notification.


The change of status of a leave request will be indicated under the eLeave - My Upcoming Leave panel on your Dashboard and in your eLeave calendar. For example, the 'Requested' Annual Leave highlighted yellow will turn into 'Approved' Annual Leave highlighted green.


Please mind that if eLeave is managed at your organisation through the eRostering product, the above would not be applicable.
