How to keep evidence for the next Appraisal?
If you have previously completed an Appraisal on SARD, certain information (i.e., personal details, record of previous Appraisals, last year's PDP) should be automatically transferred over to the new Appraisal form/Portfolio.
It is possible to retain a specific piece of evidence in the Portfolio, that is without having to re-upload the same document on the following year(s).
This can be done by following these steps:
- Go to a Portfolio section, then scroll down to the Evidence part.
- After providing a written entry in the Description field (optional), tick the 'Keep Evidence for Next Appraisal' box, OR enter expiry date as per the screenshots below:

- Click Attach eDocument, then upload new or existing evidence file.
- Click Create Evidence to save it.
You can amend the previously uploaded evidence regarding keeping it for the next Appraisal by clicking on the pencil icon next to it in the current Portfolio. Once done editing, click Save Evidence.
If you mark the evidence to be kept for the next Appraisal as above, you will find it in the new Appraisal form/Portfolio upon clicking on + New Appraisal on your Dashboard.
Should you see an evidence with a set expiry date which you did not expect to see in the new Appraisal, please see this article.
