How do I set/change my appraiser?

This article would be regarding the setting of a Lead Appraiser for your Appraisal. If you need to add an additional appraiser or academic appraiser, this would be explained here.

If you need to select your own appraiser

Go to Section 3 (Personal Details) of your Appraisal form, which will allow you to view your current set appraiser on the site. Instructions will show on that page regarding the allocation.

A drop-down list will show in this section, from which you will need to select a Lead Appraiser. This list will include all SARD users at your organisation who have the Appraiser role on their account. If they are not listed or greyed out, this would mean that they are not eligible for selection. In case you are unsure as to which appraiser should be selected, the administrators for your organisation may be able to advise further on suitable selection. Their contact information will be displayed on your Dashboard under Help & Support, should you need to contact them.

In case you do not wish to start a new Appraisal just yet, and assuming that appraisers are not centrally allocated by your organisation, you can choose your appraiser on your account (Dashboard > My Details > 'Edit My Details' > choose a name from the drop-down list under Appraiser > click 'Save').

If appraisers are centrally managed at your organisation

You would not be responsible for the allocation of your appraiser on the site. Instead, if you still need for this appraiser to be allocated (or if the listed appraiser needs to be amended), you should contact the administrators at your organisation, using the mail links in that section. Their email addresses will also be displayed on your SARD Dashboard page, should you need to contact them. If you click the Help & Support tab, their details will show in the right-hand column that shows in the section below.

I have submitted my Appraisal, but I need to change my appraiser

Once the appraiser has been changed in Section 3 using either of the above methods as applicable, access to your form will be revoked for your previous appraiser. They will automatically have their access rescinded, and this will be submitted to your new appraiser automatically so that you can have your Appraisal meeting.
