ADMINISTRATOR: Making a recommendation to the GMC

This article was written with System Administrators in mind as it describes features which are not accessible to non-administrator users.

The recommendation to the General Medical Revalidation (GMC) regarding user's medical revalidation is not done by your trust/organisation through SARD, but a separate site called GMC Connect.

The revalidation data from GMC Connect gets pulled into SARD through regular imports via the GMC Connect API. Because of the API (Application Programming Interface) in place, there is no need for the organisation's administrators to duplicate the work on SARD.

GMC Connect imports are run every night, and the results for user recommendations are recorded on the GMC Connect Imports page (ADMIN > User Data > System Imports > GMC Connect Imports).

The Imports page will display the list of all available imports that have been generated. You can view the details for each one by clicking on the eye icon on the right-hand side of each import.
