ADMINISTRATOR: Creating a Dummy Account

This article would only be applicable to users with an Administrator system role on their account, and would not include advice for non-administrator users looking to be set up with a Dummy account.

If you wish to create an account for testing and demonstration purposes, the best way to navigate this would be through using a Dummy Account; this wouldn't contribute towards reporting, and wouldn't take up any of your licences.

This would be set up in much the same way as any other account but the most important step would be to ensure that the Dummy Account tickbox at the top of the page is selected.

You may wish to set the dummy account up with generic credentials so that this can be used by multiple people in your organisation; we'd recommend entering an email address registered to @example.com (such as doctor@example.com or appraiser@example.com) as these handles would be created in a way that bypasses the need for a real inbox. As there are no emails to receive, this would save you a step when creating a generic dummy account.

Instructions will then show just below this tickbox as a reminder that a password will need to be set for this account; as this might not be set up with a real email address, a user wouldn't be able to use the "Forgot my Password?" link to reset this, so managing the password would be the responsibility of administrator users.
