ADMINISTRATOR: Adding Support Documents
This article would only be applicable to users with an Administrator system role on their account, as this feature would not be accessible for non-administrator users.
As an Administrator for your Organisation, you can add supporting documents to the system for your staff to use, which will be made accessible to them via the Support Docs panel on the right hand side of their SARD Dashboard (for example, documents relating to any Trust or Organisation’s specific policies and processes, or any templates or blank forms they're required to use.)
To view your current support docs list on your SARD site, click on the Miscellaneous tab at the top of your Administrator dashboard and select Support Docs from this drop-down menu.
To add a Support Doc, this will need to be part of a Support Doc Group, so that these are sorted into suitable categories (for example, Trust Policy Documents). You can set up groups for your support documents by clicking on the corresponding button:
Once a group has been created, you can add documents by clicking on:
When adding a new Support Doc, you can select which document group to nest the new file under and give it a title to make it clearly visible in the list of documents, and then select the file from your computer:
Once that’s done, press the green “Save button” on the right hand side to finish the process. Once saved and uploaded, it will appear in the list on the support docs page:
And any supporting documents you make available to your users can be found on their SARD Dashboard (the main Dashboard you land on when signing in) under the Support Docs panel on the right hand side:
A useful feature is being able to copy the 'Permalink' for a Support Doc, to use in your Portfolio Datasets.
If you have a Document your staff should use, such as a Declaration Of Interests form for example, you can upload it to the Support Docs list; once it's been uploaded, click on the eye icon to view the details of the document, and you can copy the link and add it to the guidance text of a portfolio section as a hyperlink, allowing your staff to download it directly from the relevant portfolio section.
