ADMINISTRATOR: Adding Delegates

This article would only be applicable to users with an Administrator system role on their account, as it would not be possible for non-administrator users to add delegate users themselves.

Delegates can be assigned to a Doctor's account for the purpose of assisting them with various SARD functions and tasks such as:
Adding supporting documents to their portfolio
Booking leave via the eLeave calendar
Collecting feedback for MSF.

If a Doctor has a secretary or colleague who will act as their delegate, you would first need to set up a new account for the delegate user, and leave them set as 'staff' only. Once an account has been created for the delegate, you then need to go to the Doctor's Edit Details page; from here, you can add the delegate in the below section, at the very bottom of the Doctor's details page.

Once the delegate has been added to the Doctor's account, invited to SARD and they've signed into their own account, they can find the Delegate Medics area where they can view the details and available documents for the Doctor's they're assisting.

Delegates are often non medical staff, such as PAs, who can do the following on behalf of a given medic, based on what product(s) this medic uses:
Upload supporting documents directly to the Appraisal and Portfolio sections, or to the eDocuments library.
Add written entries to the Appraisal sections
View the Doctor's previously completed Appraisal history
Nominate colleagues for Colleague Feedback, send electronic Patient Feedback requests/download the Patient Feedback form to print and hand out to the Doctor's patients via the MSF page
Add activities in the Job Plan timetable
Add leave requests via the eLeave calendar page

Please note, delegates cannot sign off the last section of the appraisal on behalf of the appraisee; that step must be completed by the appraisee directly.
